We are seeking a team of asbestos removal operatives experienced at working on a large industrial site. Our client is carrying out demolition works at Ratcliffe Power Station. The duration for the project is 4 years and we need a team of experienced asbestos operatives to work alongside our demolition team. Accommodation will be provided for successful applicants if needed. Duties * Safely remove, contain, and dispose of asbestos materials following strict regulatory guidelines and company procedures * Prepare work sites by setting up containment barriers, decontamination units, and appropriate signage * Use hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment to carefully dismantle or remove asbestos-containing structures or materials * Conduct thorough inspections of work areas to identify hazards and ensure all asbestos is properly handled and disposed of * Maintain detailed records of removal activities, waste disposal documentation, and site inspections * Follow all health and safety protocols, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times during operations * Collaborate with team members to coordinate tasks efficiently while maintaining a focus on safety standards Experience * Prior experience in asbestos removal or related environmental hazardous material handling is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided for the right candidate * Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, fabrication techniques, and site safety procedures is highly desirable * Strong understanding of health & safety regulations related to hazardous materials management Please contact us to find out more regarding the role and register your interest.
