Romax Solutions are currently seeking an experienced Forklift Driver to support site logistics on a large, busy construction project. This role is ideal for a reliable and safety-focused operative with a solid background working on major UK construction sites. You will play a key part in maintaining smooth site operations, ensuring materials are moved safely and efficiently in line with the construction programme. Working closely with the Logistics Manager, Site Management, and subcontractors, you will help keep the site productive and compliant.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate forklift safely and efficiently across a live construction site
- Load, unload, and distribute materials to designated work areas
- Support high-volume deliveries and material movements
- Carry out daily plant checks and report any faults immediately
- Follow site traffic management plans and lifting procedures
- Maintain clear communication with logistics teams, banksmen, and site management
- Ensure materials are stored correctly and work areas kept tidy
- Adhere strictly to health & safety regulations and site rules
Requirements
- Proven experience operating forklifts on UK construction sites
- Valid CPCS or NPORS Forklift Ticket (essential)
- CSCS Card (essential)
- Good understanding of site safety and logistics procedures
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work as part of a team
- Strong awareness of hazards in a busy site environment
