Are you an experienced HGV Driver looking for a role within Environmental Services? We are currently recruiting for HGV Drivers Waste Collections / Street Cleansing to join the Waste and Street Care team. This is a mobile role working as part of a waste collection crew, operating refuse collection vehicles, mechanical sweepers and other specialist vehicles to support waste, recycling and street cleansing services across the borough.
The Role
- Driving and operating refuse collection vehicles (RCV), mechanical sweepers and grab lorries safely.
- Working as part of a crew carrying out:
- Household waste collections
- Recycling collections
- Food waste collections
- Garden waste collections
- Trade waste collections
- Bin deliveries and collections
- Street cleansing operations
- Completing daily work schedules provided by the Waste and Street Care Supervisors.
- Ensuring any issues preventing completion of work are reported promptly.
- Providing excellent customer service to residents and members of the public.
