Class 2 HGV Drivers – Bidfood, Paddock Wood TN12 6UU
Pay: £21.36 per hour, inc holiday
Shift start times: 06.00 AN - 16.00 PM
Shift length: Typically 8–10 hours
Working days: Support may be required across all seven days, including weekends
Contract: Agency work, subject to client requirements
Romax Recruitment is looking to register reliable Class 2 HGV drivers for upcoming opportunities supporting Bidfood's Worthing operation. There is a potential requirement for 5–10 drivers, primarily covering hub collections.
Support requirements are expected to be confirmed with one week's notice.
Key responsibilities
- Complete hub collections and associated Class 2 driving duties safely and efficiently.
- Carry out daily vehicle checks and report defects promptly.
- Complete collection and delivery paperwork accurately.
- Comply with drivers' hours, working time and tachograph requirements.
- Follow site procedures and safe working practices, ensuring loads are secure before departure.
- Assist with loading when required; vehicles are generally preloaded, although occasional loading may be necessary.
- Work professionally with transport teams, warehouse staff and customers.
Essential requirements
- A valid driving licence with Category C entitlement for Class 2 vehicles.
- A valid Driver CPC qualification and Driver Qualification Card. xgikmsk
