Class 2 HGV Drivers – Bidfood, Paddock Wood TN12 6UU Pay: £21.36 per hour, inc holiday
Shift start times: 06.00 AN - 16.00 PM
Shift length: Typically 8–10 hours
Working days: Support may be required across all seven days, including weekends
Contract: Agency work, subject to client requirements
Romax Recruitment is looking to register reliable Class 2 HGV drivers for upcoming opportunities supporting Bidfood's Worthing operation. There is a potential requirement for 5–10 drivers, primarily covering hub collections.
Support requirements are expected to be confirmed with one week's notice.
Key responsibilities Complete hub collections and associated Class 2 driving duties safely and efficiently.
Carry out daily vehicle checks and report defects promptly.
Complete collection and delivery paperwork accurately.
Comply with drivers' hours, working time and tachograph requirements.
Follow site procedures and safe working practices, ensuring loads are secure before departure.
Assist with loading when required; vehicles are generally preloaded, although occasional loading may be necessary.
Work professionally with transport teams, warehouse staff and customers.
Essential requirements A valid driving licence with Category C entitlement for Class 2 vehicles.
A valid Driver CPC qualification and Driver Qualification Card.
A valid digital tachograph driver card.
