We are currently seeking an experienced hands-on Groundworks Team Leader / Ganger holding a valid SMSTS qualification to oversee and work alongside a small groundworks team across multiple sites in the North-East.
This is a hands-on role requiring a working supervisor who is happy to lead from the front while carrying out groundworks’ activities alongside the team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervising and coordinating groundworks operatives on site.
- Installing and preparing concrete bases for external parcel locker units (similar to Amazon lockers).
- Fixing and securing locker units to completed concrete bases.
- Ensuring works are completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.
- Managing site health & safety and maintaining compliance with SMSTS requirements.
- Liaising with site contacts and reporting progress as required.
Requirements:
- Valid SMSTS certificate.
- Proven experience as a Groundworks Team Leader / Ganger.
- Strong knowledge of concrete works and base installations.
- Ability to lead a team while remaining hands-on.
- Full UK driving licence preferred.
