We are currently seeking an experienced hands-on Groundworks Team Leader / Ganger holding a valid SMSTS qualification to oversee and work alongside a small groundworks team across multiple sites in the North-East.

This is a hands-on role requiring a working supervisor who is happy to lead from the front while carrying out groundworks’ activities alongside the team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervising and coordinating groundworks operatives on site.
  • Installing and preparing concrete bases for external parcel locker units (similar to Amazon lockers).
  • Fixing and securing locker units to completed concrete bases.
  • Ensuring works are completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.
  • Managing site health & safety and maintaining compliance with SMSTS requirements.
  • Liaising with site contacts and reporting progress as required.

Requirements:

  • Valid SMSTS certificate.
  • Proven experience as a Groundworks Team Leader / Ganger.
  • Strong knowledge of concrete works and base installations.
  • Ability to lead a team while remaining hands-on.
  • Full UK driving licence preferred.

Package:

  • £300 per day
