We are currently seeking an experienced 2nd Fix Finishing Carpenter to join a well-established and professional team working from a workshop in Bishop's Stortford. This is an excellent long-term opportunity for a skilled carpenter looking for consistent work, good hours, and a friendly working environment.
Role Details:
- Position: 2nd Fix Finishing Carpenter
- Start Date: 09/02/2026
- Duration: Ongoing work
- Location: Bishop's Stortford, CM23 2AP
- Pay Rate: £24 per hour
- Hours: Monday to Friday up to 11 hours paid per day
Duties Will Include:
- High-quality 2nd fix carpentry and finishing work
- Working within a workshop environment
- Willing to travel around the UK / out of the country if needed
- Measuring, cutting, assembling, and finishing timber components
- Maintaining high standards of workmanship and attention to detail
- Following health and safety regulations at all times
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a 2nd fix / finishing carpenter
- Valid CSCS card (essential)
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong attention to detail and pride in your work
