CARPENTERS REQUIRED IN BISHOP'S STORTFORD. We are looking for Workshop carpenters to work for a large company making and designing signage for events and exhibitions across the UK and Europe. This is an excellent long-term opportunity for a skilled carpenter looking for consistent work, good hours, and a friendly working environment. This work involves working in the UK workshop @ Bishop's Stortford and also travelling to various parts of the UK and Europe. If you are to work away, all flights, accommodation and travel are paid for, and you are given a daily allowance of £55.00 a day (to be paid as a taxable expense with your weekly wages).

Role Details

  • Position: Workshop carpenter, working on all machinery to set drawings, putting signage together and getting ready to ship to sites across the UK and Europe.
  • Start Date: 04/03/2026
  • Duration: Ongoing work
  • Location: Bishop's Stortford, CM23 2AP
  • Pay Rate: £24 per hour
  • Hours: Workshop hours are 9 hours a day paid Mon-Fri. On site hours are 9 to 16 you will be paid all hours including travel time.

Duties Will Include

  • Working within a workshop environment
  • Willing to travel around the UK / out of the country if needed
  • Measuring, cutting, assembling, and finishing wood components
  • Maintaining high standards of workmanship and attention to detail
  • Following health & safety regulations at all times

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a 2nd fix / Workshop Carpenter
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong attention to detail and pride in your work
