Type: Full-time, Permanent About Us We are a growing and well-established Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) Contractor delivering high-quality building services solutions across commercial, industrial, healthcare, education, data centre and residential sectors.

Due to continued growth and a strong pipeline of secured projects, we are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our commercial team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially astute professional to play a key role in the successful delivery of M&E projects while contributing to the ongoing growth and profitability of the business.

The Role As Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for managing the commercial aspects of multiple M&E projects from pre-construction through to final account.

Working closely with Project Managers, Engineers, clients and subcontractors, you will ensure projects are delivered profitably while maintaining strong commercial controls throughout the project lifecycle.

The successful candidate will have experience within the building services, mechanical, electrical or wider construction sectors and possess a proactive approach to commercial management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Preparation, submission and agreement of valuations and applications for payment.
  • Management of project costs, budgets and forecasting.
  • Procurement and commercial management of subcontractor packages.
  • Preparation and negotiation of subcontract orders.
  • Identification, pricing and management of variations and change control.
  • Production of cost reports and commercial updates for senior management.
  • Management of project cash flow and financial performance.
  • Preparation and agreement of final accounts.
  • Review and interpretation of contracts, identifying commercial risks and opportunities.
  • Support project delivery teams with commercial and contractual matters.
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, consultants and supply chain partners. Requirements
  • Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within the construction or building services industry.
  • Previous experience working for an M&E Contractor is highly desirable.
  • Strong understanding of both contract administration and commercial management.
  • Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
  • Strong commercial awareness with a proactive, problem-solving mindset.
  • Competent in Microsoft Office and commercial reporting systems.
  • Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management or a related discipline (preferred).
  • Full UK driving licence. What's on Offer
