Site Setting Out Engineer
Full-Time | Permanent | Harlow
Salary: £50,000 - £60,000 per annum (subject to experience)
Overview
Due to continued growth, our client is looking to recruit an ambitious Site Setting Out Engineer to join an established project team on a long-term civil engineering development in Harlow.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Setting Out Engineer looking to further their career within a growing and supportive business. The role offers long-term career prospects, ongoing training, and genuine opportunities for progression.
Key Responsibilities
- Establish, maintain and manage the site's primary control network.
- Produce and deliver accurate setting out information and site surveys.
- Ensure works are completed to a high standard, minimising defects and snagging.
- Provide technical support and guidance to site teams where required.
- Maintain high standards of health, safety and quality on site.
- Assist with day-to-day site management responsibilities.
- Attend site meetings and provide progress updates.
- Liaise closely with Project Managers and other key stakeholders.
Requirements
Essential
- Civil Engineering degree, HND/HNC, or equivalent qualification.
- Previous setting out experience within civil engineering projects.
- Strong surveying and engineering background.
- Proficient in AutoCAD 2D, Microsoft Office, Leica Total Stations, GNSS equipment and levelling equipment.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
- Right to work in the UK.
Desirable
- Experience using Trimble GPS modelling systems.
- CSCS Card.
- SMSTS or SSSTS.
- First Aid qualification.
- TWS/TWC certification.
- CSCS Gold Card or above.
- Confined Spaces certification.
