Accounts & Payroll Administrator needed on a long term project in Bishops Stortford! Romans Recruitment Group is delighted to be supporting a key client with the hire of an Accounts & Payroll Administrator for a long‑term position, offered on a temp-to-perm basis. Role Overview

Working closely with the finance and operations teams, you'll take ownership of day‑to‑day transactional finance duties, payroll support, and general administrative responsibilities. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with numbers, has strong attention to detail, and thrives in a fast‑paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Daily Finance & Cash Control
    • Perform daily sales reconciliations with full ownership of the process
    • Oversee cash‑out procedures and prepare accurate banking deposits
    • Conduct transaction checks and resolve discrepancies promptly
  • Payroll & HR Support
    • Process payroll timesheets, ensuring accuracy and timely submission
    • Provide basic HR administrative support, maintaining accurate records
    • Assist with general admin tasks across the finance function

Experience & Skills Required

  • Proven experience in daily reconciliation within a cash‑handling environment
  • Strong background in banking preparation and transactional finance
  • Confident in Excel, including formulas and data handling
  • Previous exposure to payroll or timesheet administration
  • Ability to provide a clean DBS and strong, verifiable finance references
  • Excellent attention to detail, reliability, and a proactive working style
