The Purpose: Join our dynamic team in London and take on the role of a North American‑focused Sales Manager, where you will play a pivotal role in our fintech scale‑up's growth story. As part of our US commercial team, you'll have the opportunity to source leads, build valuable relationships, and convert exciting opportunities across North America with some of the world's largest and best‑known players. In this individual contributor role, you will independently manage your pipeline, achieve revenue targets, drive product adoption, and contribute to ongoing innovation.
Your responsibilities include:
- Identifying, prospecting, and establishing opportunities with large global financial service providers and enterprise merchants.
- Closing new Payment Service Provider (PSP) contracts or Enterprise Merchant contracts.
- Managing the full sales cycle from prospecting to converting PSP, gateway, or acquirer/processor opportunities, and aiding in their growth and development.
- Achieving new business targets, share‑of‑wallet growth, profit, and customer satisfaction.
- Working with the Sales Engineering team to effortlessly onboard new clients.
- Partnering with the client success and partner marketing teams to deliver customer training and activation sessions.
- Developing customer plans for efficient handover of accounts to Account Management teams.
- Making connections with influencers and decision makers that will lead to opportunities in the short and long term, while building and maintaining trust.
What would make you a great fit:
- A minimum of 5 years payments experience in Sales and or Business Development roles.
- Knowledge of the FinTech payments space - A broad view of how and where PPRO fits within the payments ecosystem and how that is strategically important to PPRO’s future positioning.
- Proven record of high performance, achieving outstanding results and delivering against targeted revenue results.
- Strong commercial, analytical, and quantitative skills are essential, and the ability to leverage data and analytics to back up assumptions, suggestions, and drive actions.
- Strong sense of ownership and demonstrated ability to maintain high levels of productivity with minimal supervision.
- Strong influencing skills and be comfortable engaging with different types of customers including technical, C‑level, marketing team and customising messaging based on the audience.
- Excellent communication skills: You thrive in international environments and can connect with people from diverse backgrounds and cultures.
