The Compliance Data Analyst is a key role responsible for owning and developing the compliance data function, ensuring that we effectively manage the compliance risks we face globally to provide assurance to our regulators and the board. This role, reporting to the Head of Transaction Monitoring/Fin Crime, is pivotal in managing and ensuring open and collaborative relations with internal stakeholders, and in fostering a strong compliance culture throughout PPRO.

You will be joining the Financial Crime Transaction Monitoring team to help the organisation better understand compliance risks across the globe. You will do this by partnering very closely with the 2nd line function to ensure they can execute against the compliance regulatory reporting schedule, as well as leveraging data to proactively monitor risks through, but not limited to, formulating new rules utilising the intelligence data we hold within the business.

The role will be responsible for:

  • Identifying and integrating intelligence sources to enhance our monitoring rules and enrich internal datasets.
  • Executing an implementation plan to address analytical support for regulatory reporting.
  • Establishing an effective engagement model between analytics and Compliance in providing assurance that the 2nd line is effectively managing risks.
  • Identifying opportunities where automated compliance monitoring would be highly impactful.

What we need from you:

  • You will be expected to have at least 2-3 years experience working in data analytics coupled with the following experience:
  • Proficiency in SQL and Python (e.g., Pandas, NumPy) for data analysis to manipulate large datasets and automate repetitive reporting tasks.
  • Comfortable using a visualisation tool like Looker, Power BI, or Tableau, for both report interpretation and dashboard creation.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets for ad-hoc analysis, with a strong desire to migrate manual workflows into automated SQL/Python pipelines.
  • Hands-on experience with data transformation and modelling; proficiency in dbt and knowledge of data-warehousing concepts is a plus.
  • Solid prioritisation skills for your own workload and able to independently manage competing priorities.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills; you know how to collaborate with key partners to get the job done.
  • You are able to take full ownership and genuinely care about doing things the right way.
  • Understanding the importance of data integrity, quality & governance. You know how to produce comprehensive data documentation.
  • Prior experience in regulatory reporting and monitoring controls.

What's in it for you:

  • Hybrid working - We offer a hybrid structure with a 3 days/week on site expectation, so you can strike the balance between office and home working.
  • In addition to our 28-day holiday allowance, we also provide a work from abroad policy, enabling employees to work remotely for up to another 30 days per year.
  • Learning and Development - We offer a GBP 1,000 annual budget to support your professional growth—because investing in your development benefits us all.

  • Our HQ office on Procter Street is a short walk from Holborn, Farringdon and Covent Garden.
  • The office is befitting a tech business and is set up for cross team collaboration.
  • Pet-friendly office - Because work is better with your paw-tners by your side.
