We are looking for a dedicated and reliable Parish Hall Cleaner to help us maintain a warm, safe and welcoming environment for all who visit and use our parish spaces. This role plays an important part in supporting the mission of the parish and ensuring our facilities remain clean, presentable, and cared for. As our Parish Hall Cleaner, you will carry out a range of cleaning duties within the parish hall.

Responsibilities

  • Cleaning communal areas such as stairs, the sacristy, and the church porch
  • Cleaning the kitchen, including appliances such as the cooker and microwave
  • Maintaining all bathrooms and toilets
  • Cleaning and polishing floors and surfaces
  • Cleaning doors and internal windows as required
  • Reporting any equipment issues or building defects to the Parish Priest
  • Completing any additional ad-hoc cleaning duties as needed

Qualifications

  • Is well-organised, with strong attention to detail
  • Can work well as part of a team but also independently when needed

  • Has relevant experience in a similar cleaning role
  • Is committed to the mission and values of the Diocese of Westminster
  • Can demonstrate sensitivity and respect towards people from all backgrounds

Desirable Qualifications

  • Experience working in a faith-based, non-profit, or charitable organisation
  • A desire to work for the Catholic Church
  • Basic understanding of the Catholic Church and its structure
  • Experience working in a faith-based or charitable setting is welcome but not essential

£14.80 per hour | Permanent | Part-time 4HPW | English Martyrs Church, Tower Hill, E1 | Closing date 25th March Midday | Interview date to be confirmed
