Roles And Responsibilities
- Create and adjust delivery or collection routes based on customer orders and delivery windows.
- Use transport management systems (TMS).
- Brief and debrief drivers - including providing instructions, paperwork, and updates.
- Handle queries or issues (e.g. delays, breakdowns, route changes).
- Report all delivery issues to the Management Team, communicating through appropriate processes.
- Ensure that any defects, accidents, or safety related issues are directed straight to the Transport Shift Manager prior to the driver leaving site or upon return to site.
- Support Transport Shift Manager with investigation of accidents and incidents.
Skills And Experience
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- Excellent communication (verbal & written).
- Ability to work under pressure and think on your feet.
- IT literacy (Excel, TMS software).
