The successful candidate will have:
- Industry specific experience ideally within a chilled FMCG environment.
- Strong analytical and leadership skills to inspire and develop teams and foster a positive productive work environment.
- Proven experience of achieving and improving SLAs and KPIs, whilst actively supporting and encouraging innovation and growth of the operation and individuals alike.
The Role
As the Regional General Manager, you will be expected to lead the management team by bringing your own experience and management skills to the operation to ensure it is a successful, compliant well-run operation as you will ultimately be responsible for this 24 hour/7 day operation.
Skills & Experience
- Contract Management: Proactively manage our contracts with suppliers to ensure seamless operations.
- Procurement Collaboration: Build meaningful relationships with procurement managers and customers on product selection and supply strategies.
- Logistics Oversight & KPIs: Oversee the operational management of incoming and outgoing deliveries to ensure customer expectations achieved and exceeded.
- Operational Leadership: Actively manage warehouse and transport management to ensure operational excellence.
- Financial Planning: Drive cost efficiency through management of budgets and expenditure.
- Change Management: Create and communicate clear strategic change to inspire and empower others to build organisational growth.
- Regulatory Compliance: Monitor, manage and enforce compliance with industry regulation and adherence of company policies and procedures.
- Issue Resolution: Proactively investigate and resolve issues relating to the supply chain.
- Health & Safety: Monitor, manage and maintain the highest standards of health and safety to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
Requirements
- CPC National/International: Essential.
- Proven Experience: Significant experience in logistics and supply chain management ideally within a cold store/fridge environment.
- Commercial acumen: Understand how the business operates, make informed decisions, and recognise opportunities for growth and profitability.
- Technical Proficiency: Skilled in logistics and inventory management software.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Excellent analytical abilities and organisational skills.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Manufacturing Insight: An understanding of manufacturing processes.
- Leadership: Proven ability to lead and inspire teams, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
- Attention to Detail: Keen eye for detail and commitment to quality.
- Safety Champion: A dedicated advocate for health and safety culture on site.
