Our Transport Shift Managers play a key role in ensuring safe, efficient fleet operations and driver performance. Romac Logistics is recruiting for an experienced Transport Shift Manager to lead our busy transport operation.
Roles And Responsibilities
- Manage and supervise a team of HGV drivers and transport staff
- Ensure all deliveries and collections are completed safely and on time
- Monitor driver hours, tachograph compliance, and Working Time Directive adherence
- Oversee route planning efficiency and fleet utilisation
- Conduct driver briefings and debriefs
- Handle transport issues including delays, breakdowns and customer queries
- Maintain compliance with Road Traffic Act, DVSA and transport legislation
- Complete KPI reporting and shift performance analysis
- Support the Transport Manager with operational performance and cost control
Skills And Experience
- Previous experience as a high performing Transport Supervisor, or Transport Shift Manager
- Strong knowledge of driver hours regulations and tachograph rules
- Experience managing HGV drivers in a fast‑paced logistics environment
- Understanding of transport compliance and fleet operations
- CPC (desirable)
