Join Romac Logistics during an exciting period of growth. Romac Logistics is expanding and recruiting additional Transport Coordinators ahead of the opening of our brand-new 251,000 sq ft East Midlands logistics facility located at Junction 29A on the M1 corridor. As customer volumes continue to increase, we are building our operational support team ready for the launch of the new site in July 2026. This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing logistics business with long-term career opportunities and a modern transport operation.
Please note: The role will initially be based from our current Alfreton depot before relocating to the new Chesterfield/S44 site.

The Role
Working within a busy transport operation, you will support the planning and coordination of HGV driver activity, ensuring deliveries are completed safely, efficiently, and on time. This is a fast-paced logistics environment supporting trunking, RDC deliveries, and refrigerated transport operations.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Coordinating and supporting daily transport operations
- Scheduling and dispatching HGV drivers
- Monitoring driver activity and delivery progress
- Communicating with drivers, customers, and internal departments
- Tracking deliveries and resolving operational issues
- Supporting compliance with driver hours and transport regulations
- Updating transport systems and maintaining accurate records
- Assisting with general transport administration duties
Skills & Experience Required:
- Previous transport coordination or logistics experience essential
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- Good IT and computer literacy skills
- Experience using transport or logistics systems preferred
- Ability to work in a fast-paced transport environment
- Professional and reliable approach to work
- Transport, logistics, supply chain or planning experience advantageous
