Rolton is an established, award‑winning, professional multi-disciplinary engineering practice. We are looking for a Project Engineer to join our Mechanical & Electrical Building Services (MEP) team, providing engineering support to several Blue‑Chip International Brands. Experience in automotive, advanced manufacturing, commercial/industrial, retail, residential, education and data centres is essential.
Responsibilities
- Manage small to medium scale projects and individual engineering tasks under the leadership of the Associate/Principal Engineer.
- Create, develop, and finalise engineering design solutions for electrical services elements.
- Co‑ordinate with other team members, project teams, clients, and design professionals.
- Conduct survey work and site inspections.
- Perform design calculations using hand methods and software modelling.
- Prepare drawings, technical specifications, and technical reports.
- Identify and resolve problems early.
- Represent Rolton at meetings.
- Collaborate with graduates, Assistant Project Engineers, and administrative staff.
- Seek additional opportunities within existing and new client relationships.
- Take responsibility for professional and personal development.
Qualifications
- At least five (5) years post‑graduate ‘hands‑on’ design experience in building services consultancy.
- Working towards Chartered Engineer (CEng) status with either CIBSE, IMechE, or equivalent.
- Degree in building services, architectural engineering, or equivalent (Bachelor’s or Master’s).
- High level of computer literacy: Microsoft Word, Excel, Autodesk Revit MEP, National Building Specification (NBS), ESDL TAS, and/or IES VE.
- Ability to operate as part of a wider project team, represent the company with confidence, and work independently with high attention to accuracy and detail.
