The predicted salary is between 27900 - 34100 £ per year.

Due to continued growth within the business, multiple vacancies have arisen for experienced Mechanical Inspectors to join the engine shops based in Kirkhill, Dyce.

The successful candidates will join the team responsible for carrying out inspection activities in line with company procedures, Overhaul Manuals, and QHS&E requirements, while supporting operational delivery and agreed turnaround times.

  • Carry out visual / dimensional bench inspection tasks and sentence material as appropriate in accordance with company procedures and relevant Overhaul Manuals
  • To carry out engine receipt, build and dispatch inspection checks in accordance with company procedures and relevant Overhaul Manual
  • Ensure all inspection records and electronic tracking system meets the requirement for each component inspected
  • Ensure all engine / module inspection cards are correct and to the relevant standard
  • Provide support to the fitting team depending on operational requirement.
  • Plan and organise each task given to ensure that it complies with QHS&E company procedures / guidelines
  • Ensure correct procedures and documentation are used at all times
  • Comply with company QHS&E and operational procedures
  • Provide regular feedback to Inspection Cell Leader / Supervisor on progress of allocated work and elevate any issues that may impact on agreed turn times
  • Undertake other duties as may be reasonably required to meet the needs of the business
  • What we need from you
  • Time served Mechanical Engineer / Inspector with a recognised Apprenticeship or National Certificate.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Good communication skills – verbal and written
  • Good knowledge of ERP systems.
  • Ability to work well within a team environment.
  • Basic computer knowledge
  • Several years of experience in Gas Turbine environment preferred but not essential.
  • Ability to use a variety of measuring equipment.
  • Ability to read / understand technical drawings and specifications.
  • Ability to translate technical requirements into operational instructions.
