Rolls-Royce is offering a unique opportunity for an experienced Supply Chain Professional to work within the UK Civil Nuclear Programme. This role supports the development and supply of UDG installations as part of the Hinckley Point C Reactor programme working with EDF and partners including NNB. The position is primarily based at the RR Derby Site, with some planned travel required due to the nature and locations of the Civil Nuclear Teams & Supply Chain.

What you’ll be doing:

  • You will report to the Supply Chain Manager and be responsible for preparing, maintaining & summarising schedules of activities and events of projects, taking account of dependencies and financial milestones.
  • Compliance with the planning cycle, to produce a credible plan to meet customer demands: including inventory, logistics and storage considerations.
  • Ensure pre-production activities are undertaken to ensure the system is maintained with robust & credible data that creates suitable supply plans, taking actions to rectify inaccuracies.
  • Work with your supply chain to manage their orderbook/project and make balanced decisions to ensure business priorities are supported to best satisfy customer demands.
  • To carry out and input into required business and operational reviews to understand capability to deliver to demand requirements, to define and manage actions to mitigate risks and issues.
  • Co-ordinate the resolution of issues with paperwork (route cards, documentation & supplier docs, etc.) where compliance with business, regulatory and export and manage actions to mitigate risks and issues.

Position Qualifications:

  • Educated to degree level or relevant professional qualification (e.g., APICS).
  • Experience of supply chain planning & control is essential.
  • Understanding and experience of managing load / capacity.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage deliveries and make balanced business decisions under challenging circumstances.
  • Able to take responsibilities for their own development.
  • Working knowledge of, and experience with MRP and/or ERP systems.
  • Has the ability to influence others.
