VP - Supplier Management is a key role in the Aerospace Procurement organisation and will own and take lead of all responsibilities relating to ensuring Quality, Delivery and Technical, supplier improvement Contract Cost to meet the customer requirements across the global Supply Chain.
Responsibilities
- Lead multiple Supplier Management teams globally.
- Manage in contract management, supplier delivery, supplier quality, execution and supplier improvement.
- Manage key relationships with customers, senior supplier stakeholders and senior stakeholders across the Aerospace supply chain acting as a focal escalation point for all aspects of Supplier Management.
- Input to and implement supplier strategies as defined in the Integrated commodity strategy.
- Monitor and mitigate future risk in the supply chain to eliminate future impact on supplier performance.
- Maintain global quality performance for assigned SMTs and ensure resources are available for effective improvement or countermeasures.
- Work with the commercial team to manage in-contract cost and execute remedies and claims on suppliers for poor performance.
- Introduce new parts into the supply chain through transfer, NPI or modification programs.
- Run formal supplier improvement projects (including technical cost reduction) to improve all aspects of supplier performance.
- Provide dynamic/inspirational leadership of medium to large teams.
- Lead cross-functional teams and maintain a global outlook across different challenges, cultures and ways of working.
Qualifications
- Experience delivering large scale transformation and change programmes using Lean/Process improvement.
- Excellent influencing and Supplier Relationship skills at executive/director level.
- Proven track record delivering operational excellence in Supplier Management in both favourable and unfavourable conditions.
- Held significant Supplier Management/Operational Delivery roles, demonstrating breadth of experience and implementing change at pace with a demonstrable track record of leading cross-functional teams successfully.
- Key commodity knowledge across a broad portfolio and understanding of SM tools and processes.
