We are looking for a Transfer Pricing Manager to join the Group Tax team, focusing on transfer pricing across more than 40 territories. The role reports to the Head of Transfer Pricing and requires close collaboration with tax specialists and other professionals across the global organisation. The key objective is to drive value and minimise tax risk across the Group while supporting informed decision making.
What You Will Be Doing
- Role model the Rolls‑Royce behaviours and leadership expectations and play a key role in the Group tax team.
- Support the Head of Transfer Pricing on the delivery of the Group’s transfer pricing strategy and policies, ensuring the Group meets its global tax transfer pricing obligations in all relevant jurisdictions, including documentation, operational transfer pricing, risk management processes, and controls to meet Master, Local File, CBCR and pCBCR requirements.
- Support transfer pricing tax disputes, MAP and APA processes and audits, including engagement with regional tax teams, external advisers and local tax authorities as required.
- Advise businesses on managing the transfer pricing implications and risks associated with complex cross‑border transactions related to existing, evolving or new business and operating models.
- Stay up to date with international transfer pricing legislative developments and evolving tax authority guidance, ensuring implications and application to the Group are understood and well communicated.
- Support resolutions of transfer pricing issues worldwide.
- Manage transfer pricing elements of group reporting and forecasting and support the Head of Transfer Pricing with Group tax disclosure policy.
- Actively engage in ongoing improvement initiatives, improving processes, increasing standardisation, simplification, and automation.
- Lead training of businesses and functions to ensure transfer pricing risks are understood and appropriately managed.
- Manage ad‑hoc projects and advice in support of the Head of Transfer Pricing.
Preferred Qualifications
- Degree level qualification or equivalent.
- Professional tax qualification or equivalent.
Preferred Requirements
- Substantial post‑qualified experience.
- Relevant experience working in transfer pricing at manager level, including tax‑efficient supply chain planning.
- Experience of cost sharing agreements.
- Detailed understanding of latest BEPS requirements, OECD TP guidelines, OECD Report on Business Restructurings and HMRC’s Guidelines for Compliance.
- Experience of managing dispute resolutions with tax authorities in APA and MAP situations.
- Strong business acumen and curiosity to understand business models.
