We have an exciting opening for a Production Planner to join the Rolls-Royce Control Systems facility in Solihull. The Rolls-Royce Control Systems facility in Solihull is a purpose-built manufacturing and engineering site specialising in aerospace engine control systems. In this role, you will be working in a team of Production Controllers, reporting to the Planning and Control Manager for Hydromechanical Control Systems.

What you will be doing:

  • Accountable for ensuring the 4 Weekly Planning Process is adhered to, ensuring Load and Capacity is Balanced.
  • Ensure Delivery Plans are maintained for the medium/long term in the available executive system.
  • Identify risks and mitigations to all future issues and issue the relevant communication with Supply Chain and customer teams.
  • Governance of ERP Compliance and Inventory Planning & Forecasting.
  • Provide the business with changes to Customer and Financial metrics through simulated scenarios for a Value Stream of parts in line with Planning Models and commodity Strategies available.
  • Be responsible for SORB and Business Reviews.

Preferred requirements:

  • Good IT skills essential - Strong experience in analysing and manipulating large datasets.
  • The ideal candidate will be highly proficient in pivot tables, data extraction, reporting, and data validation, with a strong understanding of data integrity principles.
  • Experience of working in an operational manufacturing environment would be beneficial.
  • An understanding of load and capacity planning.
  • Experience of Production scheduling, WIP management and Inventory control.
  • Understanding of Product Introduction processes and their interaction with Manufacturing.
  • Previous experience of using SAP system would be preferred.
  • Experience working with ERP systems and understanding how data flows between operational systems and reporting tools is preferred.
  • Strong communication skills with ability to convey ideas to different audiences.
