An exciting opportunity has arisen to join Rolls-Royce Power Systems as a Service Sales Manager – PowerGen. The role will include full responsibility for achieving set personal revenue and profit-based service targets by maintaining existing key accounts, identifying new contacts, developing new relationships and nurturing new business opportunities. Support service staff offer and deliver mtu products, solutions and services to the Power Generation market striving for the very highest levels of customer service, proactive engagement and customer satisfaction. Maintain a continual focus on process efficiency whilst strengthening a culture of continual improvement. Carefully manage change, influence mindset, and ensure all members of staff act as ambassadors for the brand whilst following the RRPS global code of conduct.

What You Will Be Doing:
- Demonstrate a high level of commercial awareness, develop service-related sales strategy, tactics, service sales and execution of plans to deliver on profit targets, in collaboration with the Business Unit (BU) Director to ensure strong alignment with BU goals and priorities.
- Collaborate with other service sales team members during the quotation and closure of new long-term maintenance / Valuecare Agreements (VCA).
- Negotiate existing VCA renewals by overcoming obstacles and capitalising on the strength of Rolls Royce Solutions over our competitors to increase market share across the UK.
- Handover service contracts and support the execution of VCAs, including digital connectivity, profitability and customer satisfaction.
- Maintain existing relationships and deliver upon measurable and achievable targets / set KPI’s, based upon revenue, profit, cashflow and debt management.
- Ensure all activity is logged on the company C4S/CMMS systems where applicable by reviewing activity log on a weekly basis.
- Promote the positive benefits of C4S for both the company and other individuals.
- Actively track, monitor, and report on service activity and health via the C4S system and drive towards a robust adherence to the 4-hour SLA including on time / first fix ratio for all service customers as well as proactively securing newly identified business opportunities.
- Support and develop existing service team to grow new revenue streams and capitalise on existing business opportunities and key accounts.
- Promote a culture of zero harm by ensuring that all activity is carried out in accordance with the current H&S legislation.
- Promote a culture of high-quality service whilst minimising environmental impact.
- Liaise with specified customers, Rolls Royce Solutions factories / workshops, engineering teams and sub-suppliers on behalf of the wider service team and gather feedback via “voice of customer” to enable continual product, services, and process improvement.
- Take the lead in resolution of service-related customer issues including agreement of payment terms, SLA’s, response times, factory lead times delivery dates etc. by direct contact with customer base in support of the service team, including ongoing structured communication with RRS UK Project Managers and Service Supervisors.
- Continue to develop and maintain external relationships with; mtu dealers, End Users, Main Contractors, M&E Contractors, Consultants, FM Companies and PowerGen equipment Installation Contractors who are operating across a broad range of industry sectors, including but not limited to Datacentre, Healthcare, Banking, and general commercial property therefore ensuring advance knowledge of pending business opportunities by regularly attending customer meetings both alone and with other service staff.
- Identify and report any potential third-party distribution opportunities.
- Continue to develop and maintain internal relationships at senior level across comparable business units globally to ensure RRS UK are recognised as a centre of excellence for PowerGen service solutions by engaging in work groups and sharing local knowledge.
- Occasionally attend industry functions, such as association events and conferences, and provide feedback and information on market and creative trends.
Related Responsibilities:
- Prepare monthly rolling overhaul forecast/operative planning documents for factory.
- Develop service marketing strategy for specified markets, accounts and products.
- Manage attendance at nominated UK exhibitions and internal business meetings.
- The continual review and improvement of service related processes.

- Must be a competent writer of business letters and commercially aware.
- Able to commit to regular travel in the UK and occasional travel abroad.
