What you’ll be doing
This is an exciting and unique opportunity to lead a team with responsibility for vetting shop visit invoices prior to payment of circa $1 billion per month. In addition to ensuring effective and efficient invoice vetting, this role is to drive data insights to directly improve shop visit costs. Furthermore, the role is to support successful claims for charges which are the responsibility of the customer.

The successful candidate will have a high degree of autonomy to support the invoice vetting team in operating at high levels of performance, and in supporting the wider organisation to meet shop visit cost improvement targets.

Key Accountabilities
- Develop and lead a high-performing invoice management team.
- Improve oversight of vetting of $1 billon of invoices paid per month to overhaul bases, to prevent cost leakage.
- Interface with the off-wing operations team to facilitate strong and robust cost control within the MRO network and take appropriate action to control the content of shop visits.
- Contribute to the corporate strategic initiative to reduce Shop Visit Cost, through smart data insights (from invoice data), ideas generation, and drive through to corresponding actions to realise the benefit through the existing workstreams.
- Own communication of strategic initiative progress through the WAVE tool, to ensure accurate reporting to the Rolls-Royce board.
- Drive opportunity to increase Customer Responsible Charges (CRCs) by £250m per year through increased process rigour and justification.
- Lead resolution of escalations and resolve at source to prevent repeats occurrences.
- Own delivery of audit actions, including driving implementation of appropriate coverage of processes and tools (such as query management).
- Act as a focal for ongoing process improvement initiatives to improve invoice vetting and payment.
- Deputise for the Programme Executive for Shop Visit Cost as required.

Qualified to at least degree level or equivalent industry experience.
