An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Quality Manager to join our team in Ansty. As a Quality Manager you will provide leadership, expertise and direction on Quality to ensure current and future Products & Services meet requirements, and to drive improvement to the associated Operating System, so that the Business can achieve its strategic goals, enhance its reputation and deliver customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the deployment of the Quality strategy for the aligned area to achieve its goals, enhance its reputation and deliver customer satisfaction, continually transforming the Business towards a higher performing organisation.
- Develop the Quality Capability (skills & knowledge) and culture of direct reports, where applicable; as well as of personnel in the aligned business to ensure process compliance and meet regulatory, customer and business requirements.
- Govern the delivery of Quality performance (KPIs) to maximise efficiency and effectiveness in meeting requirements and business goals. Where Quality performance diverges from target, drive appropriate mitigation through coaching or direct action.
- Ensure relevant law / regulation, customer requirements and business strategy are understood; to input into the compliance strategy and ensure the effective implementation and deployment of this into the Operating System and/or Suppliers.
- In partnership with the risk owners, provide proactive assurance for the aligned business area that regulatory, business and customer requirements will be met through an assurance strategy targeted at risks and associated controls.
- Protect the business and customer through performing, governing and coaching of problem containment and resolution methods and tools, to minimise impact and to ensure the necessary corrective and preventative actions are completed and verified in a timely manner.
- Enable the aligned area to achieve Right First Time through the coaching and application of defect prevention methodologies and compliance to the Management System.
- Provide Quality leadership to drive supplier maturity and improvement to deliver compliance and performance that enables the business to achieve its goals and enhance its reputation.
- Manage Product Validation & Certification activities, including creation, independent verification and approval of Product Documentation such as supplied document packs and Certificates of Conformity within External and Domestic Supply Chain.
- Demonstrate an understanding of the supplier approval process ensuring that suppliers used by engineering have documented approvals appropriate to their scope of supply.
- Apply engineering knowledge and judgement to technical processes and problems, such as training/ approval/ governance of Inspection personnel, equipment and activities.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Demonstrated knowledge of or affinity with delivering Quality through a previous role.
- Experience working within an Aerospace/ Defence/ Nuclear/ Power Systems/ Other Advanced Manufacturing Industry; typically in an Operations, Supply Chain or Engineering role.
- Ideally, knowledge of problem solving and continuous improvement methodologies, e.g. Six Sigma, 8D, Human Factors.
- Regional variations for Experience and Qualifications may apply. Additional requirements may apply for roles based in Rolls-Royce Submarines.
