Project Planning Professional – Submarines
Join Rolls-Royce Submarines in Derby as a Project Planning Professional – Lead Planner. In this role, you will maintain schedules for the assigned work scope, ensuring alignment with the Submarines\’ monthly planning cycle. You will be responsible for creating and managing Control Account Schedules (CAS) that accurately reflect the work required to meet customer and business needs. As a Subject Matter Expert (SME), you will oversee planning and scheduling methodologies within your team.

Responsibilities
- Work with key stakeholders to define project scope, including developing PBS, WBS, SOW, and BOE.
- Support planning processes and provide governance and guidance to the delivery team.
- Identify schedule impacts within the CAS and proactively pursue solutions, considering quality, cost, and time constraints.
- Interpret Earned Value Management (EVM) data and reports to monitor project performance.
- Coach, mentor, and train planners across the organization.
Qualifications & Experience
- Experience in scheduling within complex environments or a relevant entry-level qualification (HNC or Foundation Degree).
- Knowledge of Primavera P6 scheduling software and its functionalities.
- Desirable: Project Management qualifications such as PPC or APM PMQ.
- Willingness to pursue membership of APM.
