Role Overview


Serve as the recognised authority in planning, scheduling, earned value management, risk management and associated digital tools within the Rolls‑Royce Group. Represent the organisation in industry and professional bodies, and proactively improve supporting processes and performance in the specialism.


Responsibilities



  • Represent Rolls‑Royce on behalf of the specialism within the wider industry and professional bodies.

  • Escalate the capabilities, competencies and training gaps needed by the wider project management community to support the specialist skill set.

  • Lead development of the specialism area with regard to processes, tools and training.

  • Proactively improve supporting processes and performance in the area of specialism in line with company management processes.

  • Coach and develop others where appropriate, or provide expert guidance and authoritative leadership to small teams, developing specialists in this field.

  • Plan and prioritise own work when responsible for leadership duties.

  • Promotion of the general culture and professionalism of project‑management specialism throughout the Business.


Qualifications



  • Degree level qualification or equivalent.

  • Specialist functional/technical experience in planning, earned value management, scheduling, risk management and use of appropriate tools/systems.

  • Excellent communication skills, able to articulate the specialism in an easy and understandable manner.


Security Clearance


To work for the Rolls‑Royce Defence business, an individual must hold a Security Check clearance. Rolls‑Royce will support the application for Security Clearance if you do not currently have this in place. Progress will only be considered for individuals who are UK nationals or, in MOD and Government‑body approved cases, dual nationals. Priority will be given to employees identified as being at high risk.


Compensation and Level


The professional level and the salary of the position will depend on the skills and experience of the successful candidate. Grade: Management level C
