With this exciting opportunity you will get a chance to be involved with the following:
Responsibilities
- Generating the technical package for the shop floor for the manufacture of parts. This will include Technical Instructions, Manufacturing Stage Drawings, Production Routers etc.
- Use of Build in Quality tools such as Process Maps, Process Failure Mode Effect Analysis (PFMEAs), and Control Plans.
- Technical Authority β Ensure application of manufacturing process controls
- Reduction in cost of non-quality across the product family.
- Liaison with other departments such as Design Engineering & Technology, Manufacturing, Quality, and Purchasing to ensure delivery of parts to set timescales and targeted costs.
- Support production to ensure product flow in the factory.
- Drive continuous improvements to eliminate the need for concessions and rework.
- Control and reduce costs to drive profitability in the factory by continuously challenging the methods of manufacture.

Qualifications
- Recognised national or international engineering accreditation (e.g. UK IEng or CEng) is desirable
- Possess a general understanding of manufacturing processes relevant to the business i.e. Machining, Welding, NDE, Fabrication & Assembly and Metrology.
- Possess a general awareness of Manufacturing Systems (i.e. NX, Teamcentre, CAPP, SAP) relevant to the business is desirable
- Have a good understanding of Engineering processes relevant to their role i.e. DfM.
- Personal skills to manage relationships and influence internally and externally to the department
- Communication, planning and coordinating skills,
- Ability to manage ambiguity, ability to set priorities and deal with change and drive for Results
