As our Purchasing Development Manager – Risk, you’ll drive innovation and excellence across the group-wide procurement risk process.

This is your opportunity to shape how we manage supplier risk, enhance operational resilience, and deliver smarter tools and processes that keep our supply chain strong.

You will collaborate closely with the Head of Group Procurement Risk, champion continuous improvement, executive reporting, and the rollout of transformative change programs.

From developing new tools to leading training initiatives, your work will empower teams across all divisions to operate with confidence and precision.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the development, improvement and deployment of global purchasing risk processes, policies, templates and tools, ensuring full integration into the company’s operating systems.
  • Define and lead all risk governance for the procurement function.
  • Support communication and execution of procurement risk strategy and policies.
  • Coordinate operational reporting and data integrity for procurement risk.
  • Develop and deploy functional change‑management projects across the procurement function, providing structure and governance for effective project deployment.
  • Develop comprehensive workable solutions in complex situations.
  • Nurture effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders to implement functional priorities.
  • Drive action across the group to increase supply chain resilience, minimise EBIT at risk, and ensure a rapid response to emerging incidents.
  • Actively conduct horizon scanning for potential internal or external risks affecting the supply chain or procurement function.
  • Work closely with the Compliance, Risk & Assurance team to understand macro-level risks and capture these within the Group Procurement Risk Management framework.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Experience with Supply Chain Risk Management (SCRM), Business Continuity Management, and financial risk.
  • Execution-focused mindset with results and delivery orientation.
  • Proven ability to influence and build relationships across diverse stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated delivery of change programmes, embedding core standards and new ways of working.
  • Experience in procurement roles and procurement practices.
  • Programme management skills and experience.
