Position Summary: In this role you will manage the planning and on-time delivery of a defined portfolio of parts across the full product lifecycle, including NPI, production, transfers, and supply chain design. You will serve as the primary contact for both external suppliers and internal stakeholders, ensuring strong relationship management and timely delivery performance. This role also involves driving adherence to supplier commitments, resolving risks to delivery and inventory, and maintaining SAP data integrity in line with ERP processes.

What you will be doing:

  • Supplier Launch & Production Planning Execution: Coordinate the Suppliers launch, and manufacture of all parts is executed in line with the agreed plan across the component lifecycle. Ensure that all planning systems used to control production planning are managed and maintained daily including inbound delivery commitments as well as the resolution of Stock in Transit, GRIP & NCR Stock.
  • Delivery Issue Management & Escalation: Where performance diverges from the plan, identify and prioritise delivery issues whilst assisting the mitigation and resolution. Ensure awareness to leadership of the delivery issues mitigations and recovery plans. Ensure escalation of the delivery issues, mitigating actions and recovery plans. This will be achieved using standard tools, processes and metrics.
  • Supplier Management: Regular reviews and communication (Order Book Reviews) on delivery plans, measurement of delivery adherence and the escalation of issues when required. The early identification and impact of possible shortages and excess affecting the business plan, taking the necessary actions to ensure appropriate escalation and ensuring the mitigating actions are completed.
  • 4 Weekly Planning: Ensure suppliers continuously realign the plan with credible data and in alignment with customer requirements, using the standard system interfaces. Support ERP compliance review process. Ensuring all front-end actions are executed in a timely manner in line with the RRPS and ZEIAW (Excess Inventory Authorisation).
  • Support buyers: Resolve unverified invoice queries relating to schedule changes and goods receipt. Support Buyers when requested with data on delivery failures to enable them to make commercial claims with Suppliers if required.
  • Factory logistics: Liaise with teams to ensure timely receipt and dispatch of parts. Support all critical delivery reviews through the supply of updated plans and commitments as agreed with the team.

Position qualifications: Experience of working in a Planning and Control role in a regulated or complex industry demonstrating strong skills of collaborating with others to manage the supply of parts in a delivery focused environment. Strong data analytical skills, report preparation and presentation capability, coupled with IT literacy ideally in SAP or similar ERP software packages. Good stakeholder management skills including Suppliers and internal customers to proactively identify, address and resolve risks which would impact delivery and inventory performance. Excellent communication, influencing, relationship management skills with focus on drawing value for the company. Passion to drive change and make a difference combined with ability to solve complex problems, demonstrating digital awareness and analytical capability. Travel will be required to visit suppliers in the UK and abroad.

Preferred requirements: Degree qualified in a Business or Technical field. Experience of working in a Manufacturing environment with complex Supply Chains.
