Join Rolls‑Royce as an Engineering Manager – Electrical Infrastructure, acting as the Electrical Infrastructure Design Authority for both conventional and nuclear facilities. The role supports the end‑to‑end delivery of large‑scale physical infrastructure for the AUKUS submarine program, ensures safe operation of electrical facilities at the Raynesway site(s), and maintains overall asset integrity.
Key Responsibilities
- Define engineering standards, quality control and assurance for nuclear and conventional facility projects.
- Ensure Rolls‑Royce, client and regulatory requirements are incorporated into design and modification of new and existing facilities and associated infrastructure.
- Provide design, modification and build assurance of electrical infrastructure for all new infrastructure projects.
- Set the Electrical Asset Management Strategy/Plan and ensure appropriate maintenance, testing and inspection of all electrical assets are undertaken.
- Serve as the Responsible Person (Electrical) and Senior Authorised Person for electrical duties involving high‑voltage switchgear rated 1kV–36kV.
Qualifications & Experience
- A degree in Electrical Engineering.
- Experience in design, construction and operation of nuclear and conventional facilities and infrastructure within the UK.
- Familiarity with the latest Eurocodes, British Standards, codes of practice and guidance documents.
- Experience in undertaking SAP(E) duties for high‑voltage switchgear rated 1kV–36kV.
- Ability to influence at all levels and build strong relationships.
- People leadership and change‑management experience.
- Experience with controls & instrumentation in an infrastructure environment (desirable).
