Location: The role is based in 1 Brewer’s Green, London, UK (where the RRPF Head Office is based), with presence in the office required. Travel to Derby, UK and international travel will be required (sometimes at short notice).

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Legal Team at Rolls-Royce & Partners Finance Limited (“RRPF”). RRPF is a fast-paced jet engine leasing company with the largest global portfolio of Rolls-Royce and IAE V2500-A5 aero engines, providing medium and long term spare engine leasing and bespoke financial solutions to airlines, aircraft lessors and OEMs worldwide.
Main Duties/Responsibilities:
- Structuring, negotiating, drafting and executing transaction and finance agreements including spare engine lease agreements, JOLCOs, engine sale and purchase agreements, lease restructuring agreements, lease novations and assignments, engine maintenance and product support agreements, storage agreements and ancillary documentation, and transaction agreements to support RRPF’s spare engine leasing and parts business.
- Managing contractual disputes involving airline bankruptcies, equipment repossessions and collection matters.
- Development and implementation of functional and business policy, procedure and know-how.
- Contributing to the development and implementation of knowledge management, deploying best practice and actively sharing knowledge with colleagues in the legal function and the business.
- Advising as to legal and regulatory risks.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Qualified lawyer with 5+ years’ PQE or equivalent.
- Asset finance lawyer, with strong academics and training in a leading international practice, with specific aviation experience.
- In-house experience preferred.
- Robust and with advanced negotiation and drafting skills.
- Customer focused, detail-orientated, organised, efficient and able to handle multiple priorities and deadlines simultaneously.
- Able to work at pace under pressure with customers and team members worldwide.
- Pragmatic, team orientated, enthusiastic and positive.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain legal concepts to non-legal team members.
