Job DescriptionIT Business Analyst – SubmarinesFull TimeDerby / On-SiteAn exciting opportunity has arisen for an IT Business Analyst to join Rolls-Royce Submarines in Derby.We\’re a leader in propulsion system design and development for the Royal Navy\’s nuclear submarine fleet and the sole provider and technical authority.As an IT Business Analyst you will to take responsibility for investigative work to determine Product requirements and specify effective business processes.We offer excellent development, a competitive salary and exceptional benefits. Hybrid working is a way in which our people can balance their time between the office, home or another remote location. It\\\’s a locally managed and flexed informal discretionary arrangement. As a minimum we\\\’re all expected to attend the workplace for collaboration and other specific reasons, on average three days per week.
Responsibilities
- You will apply and monitor the use of required modelling and analysis tools, methods and standards, giving special consideration to business perspectives
- Conduct investigations at a high level for strategy studies, business requirements specifications and feasibility studies.
- Work with the Product Owner to prepare business cases which define benefits, options for achieving these benefits through development of new or changed processes, and associated business risks.
- Identify stakeholders and their business needs with the Business Product Manager.
- Evaluate and demonstrate user stories
- Define and execute business test cases with the test manager in the pod.
Who we\\\’re looking for

- Degree qualified and BCS/IIBA/ Business Analysis qualification or equivalent and experience in a technical IT role such as ITIL/TOGAF.
- Business Analysis experience over a range of IT projects and programmes.
- Understanding of the full IT delivery lifecycle and exposure to Waterfall and Agile methodologies.
- Clear communication and relationship management skills – both written and spoken; facilitation skills to achieve collaboration between the business and IT stakeholders.
- Awareness of developing approaches & technologies and their application, and taking responsibility for driving own development.
