As the HSE Manager you will be reporting to the Head of HS&E and be a Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) Manager for Rolls‑Royce Submarines. Accountable to the Head of HSE and Director Site and Licensee Authority for the Health, Safety and Environment Management of operations. To lead, co‑ordinate and represent Rolls‑Royce Submarines in health, safety and environment issues/initiatives.

What you will be doing:
- You will be the HSE specialist for Rolls‑Royce Submarines – accountable for the performance and results of HSE.
- Maintain knowledge of best practice HSE legislation and that of key stakeholders, and use them to drive strategy, processes and performance.
- Provide technical HSE direction to operation, maintenance and design teams.
- Develop policies and strategies for continuous improvement and development of the HSE culture.
- Establish, maintain and lead all significant accident and incident investigations.
- Represent the business on HSE matters with Regulators, Customers, Suppliers and other stakeholders.
Who we’re looking for:
- Educated to degree level or equivalent professional HSE qualifications.
- Chartered or working towards chartered membership of IOSH.
- Experienced in providing high level advice and risk based solutions in a diverse range of disciplines.
- Proven track record in HSE management.
- Experienced in HSE in Design and Construction.
- The ability to influence and facilitate ownership and commitment by management.
- Knowledge of the business area, specific risks and industry approaches would be advantageous.
