An exciting opportunity has arisen for a HSE Advisor to join Rolls-Royce Submarines. You will be reporting to an Operational HSE Manager and working towards ensuring world class HSE standards by using a risk-based approach to managing the risk from our operations and activities.

What you will be doing: With this exciting opportunity you will get a chance to be involved with the following:
- Perform and record regular site tours/inspections ensuring acceptable standards and behaviours are performed.
- Provide professional advice and guidance to various stakeholders actively engaging and communicating with various stakeholders to positively influence a strong HSE culture on site.
- Contribute towards ensuring our HSE management systems are continually improved.
- Identify trends and ensuring improvement plans in place are completed in full.

Post characteristics: Driving licence is essential as we are a multi-site business. Baseline security checks will be conducted and essential. Professional membership (IOSH/IIRSM/IEMA/ISEP) preferred but not essential.
Qualifications: NEBOSH General/Construction Cert or NVQ level 3 Occupational Health and Safety. NEBOSH Diploma or NVQ level 5/6 Occupational Health and Safety. IEMA/ISEP Environmental Certificate or equivalent.
Experience: Previous experience as a HSE Advisor/Manager. Have a proven track record working with stakeholders at all levels. Construction/Manufacturing preferred but not essential.

To work for Rolls-Royce Submarines, you need to hold a Security Check (SC) clearance without any caveats to that clearance. Rolls-Royce will support the application for Security Clearance if you don’t currently already have this in place. Due to the nature of work the business conducts and the protection of certain assets, you must hold a UK nationality. Any dual nationals will require additional scrutiny and background checks prior to commencing work with RRSL.
As part of our selection process, candidates in certain locations may be asked to complete an online assessment, which can include cognitive and behavioural aptitude testing relevant to the role. If required, full instructions for the next steps will be provided.
