What You Will Be Doing
- Manage the performance, resources and output of a team of export control managers
- Provide leadership to senior export control managers and/or specialised professional staff in a multi‑discipline team
- Plan the activities and strategy for the team to achieve the global deliverables set by the accountable Global Head
- Responsible for a devolved budget or project with financial responsibilities and budgetary implications
- Monitor and keep up‑to‑date with the export regulations of all countries with which the organisation conducts business
- Liaise with other export control personnel to develop an understanding of the impact of export regulations on the business of the company as a whole
- Identify opportunities to influence the internal compliance programme as well as export legislation and implementation, working with the other Heads and the Director, Strategic Export Control to provide expertise to the legislative process
- Develop an organisational understanding, at a senior level, of the importance to the adherence to export control regulations
- Develop and implement strategies for export control compliance in line with the needs of the organisation and the internal compliance programme
- Be part of the global team which provides specialist knowledge, guidance and advice to the organisation on export control issues relating to its strategic and tactical requirements
- Develop and provide general and organisation‑specific training and communication on export control
- Lead Integrated Project Teams across all functions and all geographical locations addressing export control issues
