An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Group Financial Control team as a Group Financial Reporting Manager, reporting to the Group Reporting Lead for Civil Aerospace. In this role, you will support the delivery of high-quality, timely financial results within Group Financial Control, with a focus on external statutory reporting and supporting the forecasting and budgeting process. You will also support the Group’s foreign exchange reporting process and take on specific project work. This role offers excellent exposure to external reporting requirements, senior management stakeholders, and a wide breadth of experience across a complex global organisation. What You Will Be Doing

  • Support and improve financial and management reporting, ensure all compliance obligations are met, and act as a trusted business partner to the wider finance team.
  • Support the completion of specific notes to the accounts and quarterly statutory reporting process.
  • Work with the wider Group Financial Control team and business units to ensure all external reporting requirements are met and liaise with Investor Relations where required.
  • Liaise with external auditors in the lead up to and during audit periods.
  • Support the reconciliation and reporting of the Group’s foreign exchange position.
  • Undertake value-adding process improvement projects, including supporting working groups on accounting policy, standards changes and the impact on reporting systems.
  • Support the development of reporting capability and understanding across the business, including sharing best practice.

Position Qualifications

  • Fully qualified accountant (ACCA / CIMA / ICAEW or equivalent) with relevant financial experience.
  • Experience in Group Financial Reporting, Financial Control, External Reporting, Audit, or a similar technical finance environment.
  • Strong understanding of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and financial reporting principles.
  • Experience supporting statutory reporting processes, financial statement disclosures, and external audit activity.
  • Exposure to group consolidation processes and external reporting cycles.
  • Experience working within a complex, multi-entity and/or multi-currency environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a continuous improvement mindset.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to build effective relationships across different levels of the organisation.
  • Ability to communicate complex financial information clearly and concisely to senior stakeholders.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills and experience using financial reporting systems.

Preferred Requirements

  • Experience using systems such as SAP, Hyperion Financial Management (HFM), Hyperion Value-Based Management (VBM), or similar consolidation/reporting systems.
  • Experience in a large, complex or listed organisation.
  • Experience supporting or working closely with Investor Relations or senior executive reporting.
  • Experience supporting forecasting and budgeting processes and working collaboratively with wider finance teams.
