Job Title: Engineering Manager – Advanced Plant Analysis – Submarines
Working location: Raynesway, Derby
We are currently recruiting for an Engineering Manager – Analysis to join our team for Rolls-Royce Submarines team based in Derby.

Your needs are as unique as you are. Hybrid working is a way in which our people can balance their time between the office, home, or another remote location. What you will be doing:
Reporting to the Advanced Plant Chief engineer, the Assistant Chief Engineer – Concepts will:

  • Act as the primary supplier of engineering analysis to the Advanced Plant concept portfolio through close stakeholder engagement with the Advanced Plant concept team
  • Drive the scoping, delivery and outsourcing of a portfolio of engineering analysis work packages to underpin the maturation of plant concepts
  • Act as the primary customer to external engineering resources for a portfolio of analysis work packages to underpin those concepts
  • Govern technical work in accordance with delegated authorities
  • Provide periodic assurance against portfolio objectives at internal and external management reviews

  • Visionary and competent leadership of people and technical scope
  • Knowledge and applied experience of first principles science and engineering
  • Knowledge and applied experience of a breadth of engineering analysis methods relevant to the nuclear domain
  • Knowledge and applied experience of nuclear power systems
  • Awareness of concept ideation and maturation
  • Awareness of product lifecycle engineering processes and best practice
  • Appreciation of MoD capability management and equipment procurement
  • Master\’s or PhD level technical qualification, or demonstrable equivalent
  • Chartered Engineer status, or demonstrable equivalent

To work for the Rolls-Royce Submarines business an individual has to hold a Security Check clearance. Rolls-Royce will support the application for Security Clearance if you do not currently already have this in place.
