Key Accountabilities
Quality Strategy & Governance
- Support deployment of quality strategies (e.g. Assure, Protect, Enable – APE) to drive business performance and customer satisfaction.
- Execute governance processes for Quality Notifications (QN), Audit Findings (NCRs), and Investigations to meet KPIs and enhance operational efficiency.
- Where performance deviates from targets, support the Quality Manager in coaching recovery actions.
Problem Resolution & Risk Management
- Lead intervention activities for significant quality disruptions.
- Identify, monitor, and mitigate major quality risks.
- Drive preventative actions to eliminate recurrence of quality issues.
Continuous Improvement & Data Insight
- Manage the Quality Clinic process.
- Compile and analyse quality data to identify systemic trends and initiate improvement activities.
- Promote cross‑functional best practice sharing and corrective action read‑across.
Customer & Stakeholder Protection
- Support Containment Escalation Meetings for critical issues, engaging cross‑functional leaders and customers to minimise disruption.
- Manage and report quality data on behalf of the function.
- Coach teams on handling high‑impact, complex problems and ensure timely completion and verification of corrective and preventative actions.
- Where required, support external customer interfaces to deliver world‑class customer satisfaction.
Quality Leadership
- Lead by example through Right First Time principles.
- Apply and coach defect‑prevention and problem‑solving methodologies.
- Reduce risk from technical, human, and organisational factors across products and processes.
Who We’re Looking For
- Technical experience in a relevant engineering, manufacturing, or process environment, with a proven track record of resolving complex issues.
- Self‑starter with exceptional attention to detail and the ability to work independently to deadlines.
- Practical experience with problem‑solving and continuous improvement methodologies (e.g. 8D, 3C/SiS, Lean) and the ability to coach others.
- Understanding of Human Factors and their link to Root Cause Analysis.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, confident influencing stakeholders in challenging environments.
- Ability to work under pressure, manage ambiguity, and prioritise multiple concurrent tasks.
- Comfortable constructively challenging non‑compliant behaviours.
- Broad knowledge of Rolls‑Royce products across the lifecycle (typically expected).
Desirable Knowledge
- Familiarity with international quality standards such as AS9100, ISO9001, EASA Part 21.
- Working knowledge of SAP and Solumina for MRP/MES transactions.
