An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Information Specialist within the Digital Finance Team to work an end-to-end process, from requirements capture through to training and ongoing solution running and maintenance. The Digital Finance team brings together skills and expertise across reporting, forecasting, data and systems. The team’s purpose is to drive a step change in how we operate through offering a range of digital capabilities and services. These services include solution design and delivery, analytics, reporting and data management, and finance applications support. Through working closely with the Finance community and operating in an agile manner, our aim is to release value to the business and reduce current pain points as quickly as possible.

What you will be doing: This role will use a wide range of skills and behaviours to enable the requirements capture, development, test, training, change and communications, and ongoing support of reporting and planning solutions, specifically:
- Engaging and interacting with the customer to perform a full-requirements capture
- Suggesting appropriate data sources and front-end user software
- Full development and build of the agreed solution for the customer
- Working with the customer to test and ensure the solution meets the customer requirements
- Training the customer on the new solution and issuing communications as needed
- On-going support and maintenance of in-flight solutions
- Perform data reconciliations on our solutions
To perform the above, the successful person needs to have some of the following skills:
- Systems knowledge and experience in: SAP Finance, HFM, and VBM
- Experience of SAP BW query writing and retrieve BI Report development experience
- Experience of developing in Power BI
- Writing visual basic coding in Microsoft Excel
- Understanding of data security
- Master data management knowledge
- Understanding of Finance data and processes
- Understanding of Financial statements (P&L and balance sheet basic knowledge)
- Develop or have knowledge on Rolls-Royce IT structures and processes
- Customer service skills
May also have experience in or keen to develop skills in:
- Data Warehousing (e.g. SAP BW) / Data Modelling
- Data integration (Fabric / Databricks)
