Position Summary: An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Regional Lease Manager to join the Aether team, this is a highly important service delivery role managing the delivery and return of aircraft engines in a new asset management business. In this role, you will report to the Head of Aether Asset Management and be responsible for the end-to-end engine lease event activities of your assigned region. The role is a blend of technical project management and customer service, and potential candidates should display key competences and experiences in these areas, including commercial awareness.

Supported by Lease Officers, you will manage the interface between airline operators and the broader Aether Asset Management business, ensuring all lease requests and lease returns in your assigned region are fulfilled efficiently and to the highest quality. You will be expected to manage a portfolio of customer relationships effectively and resolve any escalated situation impacting the timely delivery or redelivery of an engine lease transaction.

What you will be doing:

  • Accountable for the workload distribution in your assigned region to ensure lease requests and returns are completed within the expected time and quality KPIs.
  • Manage a portfolio of customer relationships effectively and resolve any escalated or complex situation impacting the timely delivery or redelivery of an engine lease transaction.
  • Responsible for mobilising the broader Aether Asset Management resources to manage and resolve customer issues.
  • Accountable for delivering the relevant Lease Offer, Insurance requirements and any other related commercial documents needed with support from the Commercial team.
  • Accountable for commercial issue management related to delivery/redelivery process (missing parts, penalties) with support from the Commercial team.
  • Accountable for delivery of and retrieval of technical records to support lease delivery/redelivery.
  • Accountable for the accuracy/completeness of technical records to support lease delivery/redelivery.
  • Accountable for the physical condition of the asset being delivered/redelivered from lease customers.
  • Accountable for continued serviceability and availability of engines, including acquisition due diligence, operator compliance of redelivery requirements at lease returns.
  • Responsible for pro-actively identifying operational issues and facilitating the resolution of the same whilst maintaining appropriate levels of customer satisfaction.

Position Qualifications:

  • Degree in Aircraft Maintenance Management, Mechanical or Aeronautical Engineering, or similar relevant qualification or experience in a comparable role.
  • Experience in the Customer Services, Technical Project Management or Powerplant department of an Aircraft Leasing or Engine Leasing company, Airline or MRO or technical advisory firm.

Preferred Requirements:

  • Good business acumen.
  • Strong project management experience ideally supported with a formal qualification.
  • Ability to prioritise workloads to meet demanding deadlines.
  • Experience managing customer or external vendor relationships, ideally with airline operators or MRO providers.
  • Working technical knowledge of one or more Rolls-Royce Trent engines.
  • Good interpersonal, diplomacy, communication, influencing and negotiations skills.
  • Ability to solve complex problems while maintaining customer focus.
  • Understanding of engine shop visit processes and airline engineering operations.
  • Computer literacy, knowledge of asset management software systems such as CMS, STREAM, EFPAC, Flydocs, Leasepoint, Salesforce, and the OEM engine portals an advantage.

You will also need to be willing to travel as required, sometimes on short notice.
