We have an exciting opportunity for you to join our engaging team in Derby as a Quality Manager.
Responsibilities:
- Ensuring that our Manufacturing Quality resources, governance tools and procedures within the facility are fit for purpose and support achievement of Quality targets.
- Establishing governance of the effective deployment of the Rolls-Royce Management System within the business.
- Ensuring the manufacturing quality processes and problem resolution approach are fit for purpose, through effective governance and embedding of tools and techniques.
- Identifying top Pareto quality themes and leading action to resolve them.
- Being responsible for the development of people capability in the facilities and providing coaching as required, to ensure process compliance and highest standards of technical competence.
- Pulling on functional resources so that they are adequately applied to enable the plant to meet its goals.
- Installing an effective, visual plant-based governance structure that informs the plant of its performance and actions, inclusive of effective deployment of the Production System and the RRMS within the plants.
- Facilitating both internal and external Audits.
- Effective management of key escapes, with full compliance to process, including sentencing requirement and minimising disruption to the customer.
- Conducting investigations in domestic facilities where warranted by impact or complexity and supporting any required interaction with internal and external customers and the presiding legal and/or regulatory (airworthiness) authorities.
- Understanding the Quality Performance element of the Voice of the Customer, developing integrated strategies to address that performance and leading their implementation across the business.
- Ensuring an effective quality assurance system is in place and ensuring there is governance and support in place for Non-Conformance Report closure within the required timeframe.
- Coaching the plant teams on Zero Defects and the embodiment of Human Factors to create a Just Culture driving down opportunity for human error.

Who we are looking for:
- Being a part of Rolls-Royce, you’ll know we embrace agility, are bold, pursue collaboration and seek simplicity in everything we do.
- Educated to degree level or relevant industry experience.
- Experience in an operational environment at management level or equivalent either in Quality or as a Manufacturing Engineer or Production Leader or similar.
- Demonstrable evidence of business acumen; relating to quality, manufacturing and HSE activities and priorities.
- Sufficient knowledge to support the professional development of people manufacturing quality roles.
- Experience of leading teams, influencing and building relationships at different levels.
- Part 145 Knowledge is preferable but not essential.
