We have an opportunity for a Production Controller to join our team in Derby on a secondment basis.

What you will be doing:
- Drive adherence to the committed production plan, ensuring alignment between operational execution and planning systems, while maintaining accuracy across MRP and supporting tools.
- Monitor production flow within the operational team, proactively identifying and prioritising delivery risks, and escalating issues with clear mitigation and resolution plans.
- Manage and coordinate responses to supply and delivery disruptions, including initiating swap sheets and working closely with technical control to minimise impact on output and inventory.
- Act as the primary point of contact for supply chain delivery matters, collaborating with internal stakeholders and customer delivery teams to assess and mitigate potential shortages affecting performance.
- Analyse and report on key production metrics such as launch performance, lead time adherence, and throughput, providing actionable insights to improve operational efficiency.
- Ensure production plans are clearly communicated and visible on the shop floor, monitoring adherence against business targets in line with established operational standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to maintain alignment between planning, production, and delivery activities, ensuring consistency with organisational production system standards.
- Maintain ERP system integrity (SAP), ensuring data accuracy and alignment with real-time operations through strong coordination with network control and customer delivery stakeholders.

- Solid understanding of supply chain principles, with awareness of how planning and operational decisions impact end-to-end delivery performance.
- Experience working with ERP systems, particularly SAP, with a focus on maintaining data accuracy and operational alignment.
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess risks, develop mitigation strategies, and drive timely resolution of delivery challenges.
- High level of attention to detail and organisational skills, ensuring accuracy in reporting, planning, and system maintenance.
- Ability to work effectively within a cross-functional, high-performance manufacturing environment, adapting to changing priorities and operational demands.
