Position Summary: We have an exciting opportunity for an Oracle EPM Developer. As an Oracle EPM Developer, you will play an integral role within our finance business and help to build a strong capability within the build team to develop, implement, change, and administer the Oracle toolset. This is an opportunity to develop and utilise your specialist technical knowledge of the Oracle Enterprise Performance Management toolset, coupling this with your financial knowledge, to help us define, improve, and develop our group wide forecasting and reporting processes.

Finance makes an invaluable contribution to our strategic development, decision-making and improvement initiatives. They work closely with stakeholders across Rolls-Royce, as well as with our global supply chain.

What you will be doing:

  • To support the high level technical EPM solution architecture for the group-wide financial forecasting system.
  • To change and administer our existing Hyperion Planning applications, carrying out changes as required to resolve business queries and issues and implementing improvements post initial implementation as identified. These changes may include system elements such as rules, metadata, task lists, security, reports and integration.
  • To define the detailed Hyperion Planning application requirements to model the business, satisfy business process and optimise design.
  • To support and liaise with IT to help translate any functional requirements that have implications for system optimisation and configuration.
  • To collaborate with key stakeholders to deliver new Oracle EPM system functionality seamlessly to the business.
  • To help define and implement ongoing support tasks and governance processes to maintain the integrity of the solution post go-live.

Preferred requirements:

  • Previous experience in the development and rollout of planning and reporting management information systems to meet customer requirements and support global business processes.
  • Have a solid understanding of the key building block for the development of optimised systems e.g. data structure, integration, transformation rules & logic, security, and process control.
  • Be well organised, resilient, and flexible - the ability to prioritise along with the ability to work under pressure to tight deadlines is essential.
  • Be customer focused, committed to service delivery to internal and external requirements.
  • Be an excellent communicator with strong analytical skills.
  • Have a logical and methodical approach to information systems.
  • Be experienced in managing system change.
