Position summary: For more than 60 years Rolls-Royce Submarines has designed, supplied and supported the nuclear propulsion plant, providing safety critical, complex power and propulsion solutions for all UK Royal Navy nuclear submarines. Our Nuclear Submarines Business Degree Apprenticeship will give you the skills and knowledge to manage the projects, plans, components, contracts, and supplier relationships that are vital to the successful delivery of this work.
What you’ll be doing:
- You’ll spend four years with our expert teams working on real projects that support submarines in the Royal Navy.
- You’ll get to experience the full breadth of our Submarines business, taking on a variety of placements across different functional areas, which could include project management, supply chain, planning and control, and improvements.
- You’ll also study for a BA (Hons) in Business Management and Leadership with the University of Derby at our Nuclear Skills Academy.
- You’ll learn essential skills across the business functions – everything from planning, stakeholder management and data analysis to purchasing, processes and commercial awareness.
Who we’re looking for:
- Five GCSEs at a minimum of grade 4/C which must include Maths and English Language.
- 96 UCAS points (obtained or predicted) from either:
- 3 A-Levels to include as a minimum, an A-level in a numerical or business related subject at grade C
- A single Level 3 BTEC in a business-related discipline.
To work for the Rolls-Royce Submarines business an individual has to hold a Security Check clearance. Rolls-Royce will support the application for Security Clearance if you do not currently already have this in place. We can only progress applications from individuals who are a UK national or, in MoD approved cases, a dual national.
