Defines, plans, coordinates, authors procedures for, executes, and reports on test and commissioning activities to support verification & validation of safety and environmental, product/process qualification and design requirements in accordance with Safety Cases and Environmental Permits.

What you will be doing:
- Application (through awareness or supervision) of principles relating to safety related commissioning, including organisational design, commissioning strategy and logic, procedural control, plant status control, control of contractors, permit to work systems etc.
- Design and/or operational supervision of clear, unambiguous and manageable commissioning test instructions/procedures.
- Undertaking risk assessments and other relevant safety documentation to ensure safe and compliant commissioning of systems and equipment.
- Providing Intelligent Customer oversight to supplier/contractor activities to ensure compliance with requirements and nuclear regulations, legislation and codes and standards.
- Managing and coordinating temporary modifications to facilities, buildings, plant, equipment and/or processes to enable execution of commissioning activities in accordance with Nuclear/Authorised Licensed Site commissioning processes.
- Coordinating effective handover of plant & equipment, documentation and records from construction/installation responsible person(s).
- Management and control of commissioning documentation and evidence to support safety case substantiation of functional engineered safety claims, including management of documentation through formal commissioning governance.
Who we're looking for:
- Knowledge and experience of application of commissioning requirements in the design of clear, unambiguous and manageable commissioning test instructions.
- Execution of physical or administrative activities against instructions.
- Application of arrangements on control of plant status and hand-in/out of maintenance, control of contractors, permit to work systems, lock-out-tag-out processes etc.
- Understanding of, and potential experience of holding, SQEP and DAP roles and their importance in the conduct of safety related commissioning.
- Understanding of the role and importance of safety systems and commissioning schedules and the requirement to substantiate Safety Functional Requirements, Conventional Functional Requirements, and Environmental Functional Requirements of these safety systems through representative commissioning testing.
- Understands the processes and safety considerations for making temporary changes to the baseline facility or system design through the commissioning lifecycle.
- Understanding of change management, safety, and related documentation for commissioning of equipment on Nuclear Licenced/Authorised Sites.
