Reporting to the Sustainability Manager, you will be a specialist in ESG compliance, regulatory reporting and assurance. You will act as the focal point for ESG reporting, preparing high-quality disclosures for leadership approval and ensuring RRSL maintains compliance with emerging regulatory pressures, including climate-related reporting requirements and defence-sector expectations.
You will work closely with the HSE Team and collaborate across RRSL, the wider Rolls-Royce Group, and the Enterprise. You will support delivery of ESG improvement strategies and contribute to climate preparedness and business resilience by helping build long-term operational robustness against the identified ESG risks. This role requires proactive engagement, strong analytical capability, and the ability to influence and support colleagues across the business without direct line management responsibility.
What you will be doing:
- ESG Data Management, Reporting & Assurance: Lead ESG data governance, reporting and assurance activities. Ensure compliance with statutory ESG reporting requirements and emerging regulations. Prepare transparent, validated, audit-ready ESG disclosures for leadership approval. Work closely with the Carbon and Sustainability Data Advisor to ensure high-quality ESG inputs.

Lead compliance with climate-related regulations and support climate preparedness, resilience and strategy implementation. Promote transition to sustainable and circular business models by influencing processes across the organisation.
- Assurance: Coordinate risk-based assurance activities, including compliance with legal and other requirements. Monitor progress and support leaders in delivering improvement plans. Interpret assurance findings, communicate insights, and drive action — particularly relating to energy transition and climate-related risks.
- Governance: Support delivery of strong ESG governance structures, processes and content. Contribute to defining ESG agenda items and provide subject matter expertise. Continuously improve ESG digital tools, KPIs, processes and governance frameworks.
- Standards & Compliance: Support integration of ESG requirements into the RRSL management system. Ensure RRSL maintains compliance with relevant ESG legislation and regulation.
- Stakeholder Engagement & Communication: Develop and implement engagement plans with key internal and external stakeholders. Collaborate with MoD and industry partners across environmental resilience, mitigation and sustainability. Use effective communication practices to support improvement initiatives.
- Capability Development: Monitor ESG capability requirements across the business. Identify learning gaps and develop guidance and training materials. Engage in personal development and maintain an agreed development plan.
- Performance Reporting: Support understanding of ESG performance and identify improvement opportunities. Deliver timely reporting of validated data and ensure effective use of reporting tools. Develop objectives aligned with business and Group sustainability targets.
