Position Summary
Take ownership of data product lifecycles, combining product owner oversight with analytical rigor to translate customer needs into a clear product vision and roadmap. The role supports a globally distributed delivery team and involves occasional international travel to synchronize efforts across regions.
Responsibilities
- Product Vision & Ownership: Define and manage the data product roadmap aligned with business objectives. Own the product backlog, ensuring priorities reflect customer needs and market trends.
- Customer & Stakeholder Engagement: Act as the primary liaison for stakeholders, transforming customer challenges and business requirements. Gather, validate, and incorporate stakeholder feedback to refine data product features. Use techniques such as Entity Relationship Diagrams to connect business process information into data products.
- Data Strategy & Analysis: Conduct business and data analysis to pinpoint opportunities for data products that drive operational efficiency and digital innovation. Utilize data‑driven insights to steer product enhancements and inform critical decision‑making.
- Technology Integration & Innovation: Leverage Microsoft Fabric and Databricks for robust and scalable data processing. Use DevOps to automate workflows and streamline data product deployments. Build advanced analytics solutions and data engineering pipelines that support continuous innovation. Champion the adoption of industry best practices and agile methodologies for continuous improvement.
- Collaboration & Global Delivery: Work closely with cross‑functional teams—data engineers, analysts, IT specialists, and regional teams—to deliver high‑quality, scalable data products on time. Coordinate with globally distributed team members; occasional international travel will be necessary to ensure seamless integration and collaboration.
- Data Governance & Compliance: Ensure all data products adhere to global governance standards, security protocols, and regulatory requirements.
- Performance Monitoring & Continuous Improvement: Define, monitor, and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess data product success and drive iterative enhancements. Lead retrospectives and post‑launch reviews to continually evolve data product capabilities.

- Demonstrated experience as a Data Product Owner or Data Business Analyst within a global, data‑driven organization. Deep understanding of modern data ecosystems and the business value of data products.
- Technical Proficiency: Hands‑on experience with Microsoft Fabric, Power Platform, DevOps, and Databricks—including integration, optimisation, and troubleshooting. Familiarity with agile methodologies and DevOps practices in rapid, iterative product development.
- Strategic & Analytical Thinking: Strong analytical skills and the ability to convert complex data insights into strategic business outcomes.
- Stakeholder & Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, capable of effectively managing diverse stakeholder groups. Proven ability to lead cross‑functional teams and communicate complex technical information to non‑technical audiences. Skilled in data storytelling, capable of weaving business information into visualisations.
